The Long Reign of the Union nationale [applause]
Some of our adversaries must be surprised.
Imagine, Duplessis the dictator, [laughter in the room], calls an election one year ahead of time, [laughter in the room].
It's not in the habit of a dictator to call an election, especially one year ahead of time.
But it is the habit of the Union nationale to follow fine tradition
And it is the habit of the Union Nationale to go before the people and consult them
What do we have before us? [pause]
We have two groups [pause]
The opposition group [pause]
The Union Nationale group [pause]
We have before us the opposition that promises, promises again and promises always
The Union Nationale achieves, improves and perfects
The opposition... [applause]
